Understanding SI Joint Pain
I’m Dr. Boyhan, your actual chiropractor. Here at Advanced Alignment, one of the most common things we see misdiagnosed is sacroiliac joint pain, or SI joint pain.
You have to understand that the SI joint, or sacroiliac joint, is the biggest joint in your body and has the most pain receptors. So, it could migrate the pain below and out laterally.
How Your Body Compensates
You have to remember that your body is designed to compensate. So, if your right SI joint is locked, it’s going to shift the weight to the left. We’ll also see people with a lot of muscle pain.
I have to talk to them all the time. They’re like, “Why does my left side hurt? Why are you adjusting me on the right?” And I’m like, “That’s because that’s where the real problem is.”
How Structural Correction Chiropractic Care Can Help
Believe it or not, 90% of back pain comes from the neck, and it’s causing the neck muscles and the lower muscles to pull really hard.
This is where structural correction chiropractic care can really help get you the proper assessment and the long-lasting results that you deserve.
If that sounds like you or someone you care about, let’s get connected, and we’ll see you on the next one.
